  1. Improved Sensor Resolution: The original FX3 featured a 12.1MP back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor. For the Mark II, rumors suggest that Sony might upgrade to a new 15MP or 16MP sensor. More megapixels would allow for greater flexibility in post-production cropping and visual effects work.

  2. Higher Frame Rates in 4K: While the current FX3 can record 4K video up to 120fps, one major omission is 8K recording. It remains to be seen whether the FX3 II will address this limitation.

  3. Global Shutter: The FX3 II is speculated to feature a global shutter, which would eliminate the rolling shutter distortion that can affect fast-moving subjects or pans. This improvement would enhance its usability for professional video applications.

  4. Silent Operation: Like its predecessor, the FX3 II is expected to remain fanless, allowing for silent operation during filming.

  5. Active Cooling: The inclusion of active cooling could enable longer record times without overheating issues.

  6. Larger Battery: An upgraded battery could provide extended shooting sessions without frequent changes.

  7. Improved Menus and Displays: Sony might enhance the user interface, making it more intuitive and efficient.

  8. Improved Rolling Shutter: The global shutter would significantly reduce rolling shutter artifacts, resulting in smoother motion capture.
