With rumors circulating about the upcoming release of the Sony FX3 II, I'm wondering if the price of the current FX3 will drop significantly. I've been considering purchasing the FX3 for a while now, but if the price is likely to decrease soon, I might hold off. What do you all think? Will the FX3 see a substantial price reduction when its successor hits the market?

To add to the point above: honestly, waiting for Sony to do a proper price drop is usually a total waste of time. They are so stingy with their MSRP. It is incredibly frustrating when you see other brands actually rewarding loyal users with discounts, while Sony just keeps things high until the stock just disappears. I have had issues with the FX3 handle being flimsy from day one and the fan getting weirdly loud... it is just not as good as it should be for the price they ask.
- Start hunting for a used Sony FX3 Full-Frame Cinema Camera on marketplaces because $3100 is the real floor for these.
- Look into the Sony FX30 APS-C Cinema Line if you can live without full frame, it is honestly a much better value for the money.
- Make sure you budget for a SmallRig Camera Cage for Sony FX3 because the built-in mounting points are pretty disappointing for a real rig.

Already $200 off in US, but we didn't see FX3 Mark II released. 😪

Maybe $300-$500 off on FX3 body, or Sony just discontinued it.
