I recently purchased the Sony a7 IV mirrorless camera and am looking for some reliable third-party battery options to serve as affordable backups to the pricey genuine Sony batteries. Does anyone have experience with particular brands or models of third-party NP-FZ100 batteries that work well in the a7 IV in terms of performance, charge capacity, and build quality? I'd like to find some cost-effective spares I can trust for those long shooting days. Let me know which ones you've personally used with good results in this camera. Thanks!
Try NEEWER NP-FZ100, works well on my a7RIV. Thought not good enough as Sony batteries, it's much cheaper.
Are you doing a lot of 4K video or just taking photos? Heat is usually the biggest killer with these cheaper cells so knowing your workflow helps. I have been using the Nitecore UFZ100 2250mAh USB-C Rechargeable Battery for a long time and it is a solid, reliable choice. The build quality feels much better than the super cheap brands and I havent had any swelling issues which is my main concern with third-party stuff. The K&F Concept NP-FZ100 Replacement Battery is also decent and hasn't triggered the annoying unauthenticated battery warning on my a7 IV yet. Still, i usually recommend keeping a genuine Sony NP-FZ100 Rechargeable Battery Pack for your main and using these as backups. Third-party ones sometimes drop from 15% to zero instantly once they get some age on them, so you gotta be careful.

Yes, I also have two new NEEWER batteries. Cheaper than Sony version.
Rumors said Sony is planning to release a new NP-FZ100 battery. Keep waiting.
