Has anyone spotted any worthwhile Sony camera deals for the upcoming Prime Day? I'm specifically interested in their mirrorless lineup (maybe an A7 model if prices drop enough).From past experience, are Sony cameras typically well-discounted during Prime Day? What kind of price reductions should I realistically expect? Also wondering if lenses usually get discounted too, or if I should focus my budget just on the body.Any tips for finding the best Sony deals appreciated!

It is seriously so exhausting trying to navigate these sales... i feel like i spend more time worrying about whether a deal is a scam than actually looking at the specs. every time i think i found a bargain on a reliable body it turns out to be some weird import version with no warranty. it's just so frustrating that we have to be this paranoid just to get a fair price on professional gear without it being a total gamble. if you're brave enough to keep looking though honestly keep a close watch on the Sony Alpha 7R V Full-frame Mirrorless Camera or even the Sony Alpha 7C II Mirrorless Camera as they usually get some kind of official bundle discount or direct price drop. for glass the Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens is a total workhorse and i've seen it hit some great price points during big events. just really watch those seller names... having a camera fail with no warranty is literally my worst nightmare especially when you've dropped thousands on it.

tbh prime day is great but you gotta be careful about who you're actually buying from. ive seen some shady third-party listings popping up during the rush. always make sure it says shipped from and sold by amazon to ensure you get the actual sony limited warranty. i learned my lesson years ago with a gray market body that had zero factory support when the shutter failed. i'm an enthusiast who shoots in pretty rough conditions, so gear reliability is everything to me. if you want gear that is built like a tank and reliable for professional use, keep an eye on these specific models:
- Sony Alpha 7 IV - the thermal dissipation is way better than the previous gen so it wont overheat during long video takes.
- Sony Alpha 7R V - that new ai processing unit for autofocus is a game changer for hit rates and reliability in tracking subjects.
- Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS - often heavily discounted and has solid weather sealing for a travel lens. basically, focus on the newer bodies if you care about ibis stability and overall build quality. the older models are cheaper but the mounts feel a bit less robust imo. definitely check the lens bundles too as they sometimes throw in high-speed sd cards or extra batteries.
