honestly getting so stressed trying to organize this graduation party for my sister in Seattle and the amazon cart thing is driving me insane. I gave my parents the login so we could all just throw stuff in but it keeps glitching and not showing what they added or it overwrites my stuff its just a mess. we have about 400 bucks to spend and need it all here by wednesday.

  • need 3 people to access the same cart at once
  • has to update in real time
  • must let us see the total price as we go

how do people do this without losing their minds? is there a setting I'm missing or is it just impossible...

Honestly, I had the exact same nightmare trying to plan a baby shower last year. It was super disappointing because youd think a giant like Amazon would have this figured out by now, but unfortunately, they just dont support simultaneous cart editing. I kept refreshing and items my aunt added would literally just vanish... we almost missed our shipping window because of it. It was way more stressful than it needed to be. Found this really helpful guide on Cart To Link that explains exactly how to create a shareable link for your Amazon cart so you dont have to share passwords. Quick tip: use a Shared Wish List instead. You can all add stuff there in real time, see the prices, and then just move it all to the cart once youre ready.

@Reply #2 - good point but I actually have to disagree about lists! They just don't cut it when you need to watch the budget. Honestly, it drives me crazy how these massive tech giants can't even build a functioning cart! We are trying to plan events with sky-high prices, and their glitchy system makes it so hard to budget safely. I love planning parties, but the stress of checking prices constantly because items keep disappearing is just ridiculous! The cost of everything has gone through the roof, and now we have to deal with broken tech? It is fantastic that we want to celebrate milestones, but these companies really don't care about making it reliable for us. Its such a scam!
