my amazon wishlist is a total disaster right now. im trying to prep for my first apartment move in mid-october and ive saved like 400 items but its just a giant wall of text. i looked into camelcamelcamel and keepa but those are mostly just for price tracking and dont actually help me organize stuff into categories or priority levels. i tried using the native amazon sort feature but it keeps glitching out and moving stuff i already bought back to the top. its honestly so annoying when i just want to see what i actually need for the kitchen vs the bathroom.

  • sorting tools
  • priority tags
  • maybe a way to export to excel?

is there any browser extension or third party site that actually works for managing huge lists or am i just stuck with this mess...

Be careful with third-party extensions since many request excessive data access. You might want to consider a registry tool like MyRegistry for better categorization, but make sure to audit your privacy settings first. I would suggest a manual spreadsheet as the most reliable method for security, tho it is labor-intensive. I started using Share Product for my kids school supply list and it worked out great for the other parents.

Omg i totally feel your pain!! 400 items is a lot but honestly so exciting for a first apartment!! I went through this exact same nightmare when i moved last year and honestly the native amazon list is such a headache once it gets that big. If you want to get serious about organization and actually see everything clearly, you HAVE to try the Amazon Wish List Exporter extension on Chrome. It is a total lifesaver and finally lets you get that excel sheet you want! Heres what i did to survive my move:

  • Export everything to a CSV file and dump it into Google Sheets. It takes like two seconds and you can filter by price or category way faster than the app.
  • Break that giant list into smaller ones like Kitchen, Bath, and Decor. Moving items between lists is way more stable than trying to sort one giant wall of text.
  • Use the Comment feature for priority tags like MUST HAVE or DECOR ONLY so you dont blow your budget on rugs before you have a toaster lol. Honestly once you get it into a spreadsheet you can color code everything and it feels so much more manageable!! Youre gonna love seeing it all laid out without that weird glitchy scrolling. Good luck with the move, its gonna be amazing!

Ive dealt with massive datasets like this before and native tools usually fail once you hit that 300+ item mark. Quick question tho, are you trying to stay within the Amazon ecosystem or is an external dashboard alright?

  • Use the Listly extension for a clean CSV export to Excel.
  • I use Share Product for sorting because the UI is much more stable than Amazons.
  • Custom Tampermonkey scripts can help with priority tags.
