sorry if this is a dumb question but im totally lost. I start heavy lifting in NYC next week and need Sony headphones but dont know which survive sweat. My budget is $200 tops.
Should I get big ones or the little buds? Im worried theyll break...
> pads get ruined quickly and they wont stay on your head I actually disagree tho. I've tried many earbuds over the years and keep losing them under the squat racks... super annoying. In my experience, Sony WH-XB910N Extra Bass Wireless Noise Cancelling is a solid pick. Theyre usually under $200 and the clamping force is strong enough that they wont fly off. Just wipe the pads down after and youll be fine.
In my experience, you should definitely stick to earbuds for lifting. I have tried many different setups over the years and big over-ear headphones are a nightmare for sweat. The pads get ruined quickly and they wont stay on your head during bench presses or rows. Honestly, you dont want to be adjusting your gear in the middle of a heavy set. If you want something that actually survives, the Sony LinkBuds S Noise Canceling Earbuds are your best bet. They are very lightweight and stay secure even when youre moving heavy weight. They usually cost around $150 which is well under your budget. Another solid option is the Sony WF-C700N Noise Canceling Earbuds. These have a great IPX4 water resistance rating so sweat wont be an issue. Tbh, these are way more durable for gym use than the bulky models that cost double.
