Which Sony headphones are best for professional studio production?

Look I am in a total bind right now and need to make a decision basically by tomorrow morning if I want to get these shipped in time for my weekend sessions. Im based in Seattle and working out of a small home studio setup mostly doing indie rock and some electronic stuff for local clients. My main mixing pair literally just died on me – right side stopped working completely and I think the driver is shot – and I have a full EP that needs to be ready for mastering by Friday night. Total disaster.

I have always been a Sennheiser guy but I want to switch to Sony because I hear the clarity is better for catching those tiny clicks and pops in the edit. I did a bit of digging and obviously the MDR-7506 comes up everywhere as the industry standard. But then I see people complaining that they are way too bright and fatiguing for a 10 hour shift which is what I am looking at for the next three days. Like, are they actually good for accurate mixing or are they just used for tracking because they are cheap and indestructible?

Then I saw the MDR-MV1 which are those new open-back ones. They look great and people say the soundstage is insane for spatial audio but they are like four times the price of the 7506. My budget is around $450 so I can afford them but I am worried about the open-back thing. If I am sitting in the room tracking a vocalist is the bleed gonna be a nightmare? I need something that is truthful above all else because I cannot afford to have these mixes fall apart when they hit a car stereo or a club system. I dont have time to learn a new sound profile for weeks I need to be able to trust them immediately.

Should I just get the 7506 and some better aftermarket pads or is the MV1 actually the new king for professional production and mixing? Or am I missing some middle ground model like the MDR-M1 or something? I just need the most honest sound possible for critical EQ decisions before this deadline hits me...

I have tried many pairs over the years and sticking with what is proven is my move. I remember when my last pair died and I grabbed the Sony MDR-7506 Professional Monitor Headphones, but those highs were brutal and I wont do that again.

To add to the point above: Sony MDR-CD900ST Studio Monitor Headphones have flatter mids. They skip that harsh 7506 spike, so you dont kill your ears making EQ choices during long sessions.
