honestly fed up with my bose the anc just died mid-flight so im ready to switch to sony before my trip to tokyo on friday. my logic was the xm5s but people say they dont fold well for carry-ons? need something that actually cancels engine noise for 14 hours straight on a 400 dollar budget...

Honestly, get the Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones! Theyre incredibly reliable and fold much better than newer models, so they stay safer in your bag tho! Amazing choice!

> my logic was the xm5s but people say they dont fold well for carry-ons? Quick reply while I've got a sec. Honestly, you're spot on about the folding thing. The Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones just kinda lay flat in their case. It's bigger, yeah, but for a 14-hour haul to Tokyo, that extra ANC tech is worth the bag space. They use two processors and eight mics to kill that engine drone, which is technically a step up from the older gear. If you want to save serious money and space tho, check out the Sony WF-1000XM5 Noise Canceling Truly Wireless Earbuds. Tbh, their passive seal plus the active canceling is scary good for buds. You can usually find them for way less than 300 bucks, leaving you more yen for sushi. Both fit your budget easily.

Ive tried many, check RTINGS. Sony WF-1000XM5 Noise Canceling Truly Wireless Earbuds have better ANC for sleep, while Sony WH-CH720N Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones are cheaper but leak way more noise.
