Hey everyone, with Black Friday and Cyber Monday just around the corner, I'm really hoping to snag a deal on the Sony a7CR. I know it's a relatively new camera, so I'm a little worried about finding significant discounts. Has anyone seen any early deals popping up, or have any insider tips on where to look? I'm especially interested in deals that might include the 24-70mm GM lens. Also, are there usually better deals on the body alone, or in a kit? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hey! Totally get the a7CR Black Friday hunt. I haven't seen any *huge* discounts yet, but keep an eye on used markets! I snagged my a7C (similar situation when it was newer) from KEH Camera a few months after release. Saved a good chunk compared to new, and it was in great shape. No complaints so far, works well for me. Might be worth checking them out during the sales too! Happy hunting!

Hey! I hear you on the a7CR Black Friday hope! Since it's new, deep discounts are unlikely, but let's think strategically. Instead of focusing solely on the a7CR *kit* with the 24-70mm GM (which will probably hold its price), consider buying the body only and looking for a used or refurbished 24-70mm GM. You might find better deals separating them.

Also, check out authorized retailers like Adorama and B&H Photo. They sometimes offer bundles with accessories (extra batteries, memory cards) that add value even if the camera price itself isn't slashed. These accessories would cost you money anyway, so it's basically a discount.

In my experience, manufacturer refurbished lenses are often a steal and almost indistinguishable from new. Good luck with the hunt, and let us know if you find anything awesome!

Hey all, great discussion so far! I understand the a7CR Black Friday hunt completely. Instead of solely focusing on price drops on *this specific model*, though, you might want to consider a slightly different angle: comparing the a7CR to comparable cameras from other brands.

I've been watching camera market trends for years, and sometimes the 'best deal' isn't the biggest discount, but the best value. For example, consider looking at the Fujifilm X-T5 or even the Nikon Z6 II. While they aren't *exactly* the same as the a7CR, they offer excellent image quality and similar features, and historically, we see *much* steeper discounts on those models during Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Plus, their lens ecosystems are often more mature and have better pricing on the used market.

Here's what I'd suggest: 1) Define *exactly* what features of the a7CR are most important to you. Is it the size? The sensor? The specific Sony lens mount? 2) Research comparable cameras from other brands that meet those key criteria. 3) Track prices on *those* alternatives as Black Friday approaches.

I remember a few years back, I was dead-set on a specific Sony lens. Black Friday came and went, and the price barely budged. However, I found a comparable Tamron lens for almost half the price! It wasn't the *exact* lens I initially wanted, but the image quality was fantastic, and the savings were huge. Don't get tunnel vision on one specific model, especially a new one. Be open to alternatives, and you might find a much better deal overall.

Good luck with the hunt! Feel free to ask if you want to brainstorm some alternative camera models to consider based on your specific needs.

Hey there! I totally get the Black Friday excitement, especially for a sweet camera like the a7CR. While those huge discounts might be rare, don't forget about 'open box' deals from reputable retailers!

Over the years, I've saved a good chunk buying 'open box' gear that's basically brand new but someone returned. Check places like Best Buy or even directly from Sony's website. Just make sure they have a solid return policy in case! You might not get the 24-70mm GM bundled, but the savings could let you buy it separately. Good luck with the hunt!

Hey! Joining the a7CR Black Friday watch, I see! Just a thought – before jumping on any super-cheap deal, *especially* if it's from a less-known seller, double-check their return policy and warranty info. I've tried many 'too good to be true' deals over the years and ended up with gray market items or worse, potentially non-genuine products. Be safe, not sorry! Check seller ratings and maybe stick with reputable retailers, even if the discount is slightly smaller. Good luck!
