Anyone find deals or price drop on Sony FX6? Will there be Black Friday deals on FX6 this year?

Ok so I've been tracking these cinema camera cycles for a few years now, and honestly, Sony handles their cinema line way differently than their Alpha mirrorless stuff. Last holiday season, I was cross-shopping the FX6 with the Canon EOS C70 and even the Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 12K, and Sony barely budged on the body-only price while the others had huge rebates. Basically, from a market perspective, they know the demand for the FX6 is still super high for Netflix-approved kits. Here is what I’ve noticed happens instead of a straight price drop:
* Manufacturer trade-in bonuses (sometimes like five hundred dollars extra value)
* Free media bundles with Sony 160GB CFexpress Type A TOUGH Memory Card
* Aggressive financing like 0% for 24 months But yeah, I’m not 100% sure if 2025 will be the year they finally slash the sticker price. Usually, they’d rather give you free accessories than lower the MSRP on a professional workhorse like this. Tbh, if you find a kit that includes a Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens for a discount, that's usually where the real value is.

Hello, the best way is to use When Price Drop to get price drop alert on this camera:

I was just thinking about this too, but what kind of shooting are you planning to do with it? Like, are you okay with handling your own repairs or are you looking for that full professional support package? I am still trying to figure out if it is better to go with a big authorized dealer or if a smaller shop is okay, but it feels RISKY to me. I have been looking into the DIY approach versus professional service plans, and honestly, you should be really careful about:

  • Buying from non-authorized shops that wont let you register for Sony Pro Support
  • Missing out on the free sensor cleanings and firmware help you get from pro service
  • Getting a unit meant for a different region that a local shop wont touch
  • Deals that dont include the full factory kit in the box Basically, I dont want to save five hundred bucks only to spend a thousand later because I cant get it serviced properly. Do you have a plan for how you are going to handle the maintenance if you find a deal from a random seller?
