I recently got the new Sony FX6 cinema camera and am looking for recommendations on the best external monitor to pair with it for my video work. Ideally looking for something relatively portable with a bright, high-res display, false color, waveform, LUT support, etc. What monitors are other FX6 shooters using and liking?
For the ultimate 4K HDR monitoring solution, it's hard to beat the SmallHD Cine 7 7" 4K HDMI Monitor. The 1800nit 10-bit color panel renders the full DCI-P3 gamut of the FX6. The intuitive PageOS software provides unmatched customization of the monitoring tools and UI. Built-in Teradek wireless video allows remote viewing. While pricey, it's the best of the best for 4K field production.
I use Atomos Shinobi, works well.

For a budget-friendly option, check out the PortKeys BM5 monitor. It packs a lot of value for the price.
I've been using the Atomos Ninja V with my Sony FX6 and it's been fantastic. The 5" HDR display is bright and the colors are very accurate. It records ProRes RAW directly from the camera's HDMI output which is super convenient. Highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for an external monitor for the FX6.
SMALLHD monitor are the best choice. But also a bit expensive.
