I recently acquired the Sony a7 IV and am looking to expand my lens collection with a Tamron lens. With so many options available, I'd greatly appreciate your insights and experiences to help me make an informed decision.

My primary photography interests include landscapes, portraits, and the occasional wildlife shot. I value image quality, autofocus performance, and versatility in a lens.

I've been considering the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 and the Tamron 70-180mm f/2.8 Di III VXD, but I'm open to other suggestions as well.

If you have used Tamron lenses with the Sony a7 IV, please share your thoughts on which lens you believe would be the best fit for my needs. Thanks.

Based on your needs, I suggest you to get the Tamron 30-150mm f/2-2.8 lens, one lens to get all zoom range.

@chengg A bit expensive, but I also love this lens.

Both lenses are great, if you have enough budget, I suggest you get both lenses.

Depends on what you are mainly shooting.

Besides Tamron, Sigma E-mount lenses are also great for Sony.

Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 for travel. I love it.

For landscapes, portraits, and occasional wildlife, the Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Di III VXD might be a great all-in-one option. While the 28-75mm f/2.8 G2 excels in low light and portraits, and the 70-180mm f/2.8 is superb for portraits and wildlife (albeit a bit short), the 35-150mm offers a broader focal range for versatility. Consider the 150-600mm G2 for serious wildlife.
