Best portrait lens for Sony A7IV?

I recently upgraded to the Sony A7IV and am looking to get a dedicated portrait lens to pair with it. I mostly shoot individual portraits, couple shots, and some family portraits. I'd like a lens that can produce beautiful subject separation and bokeh while delivering sharp details.

I've been considering the Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM and Sony FE 135mm f/1.8 GM lenses. The 85mm seems to be a classic focal length for portraits, but I'm wondering if the 135mm might be even better for achieving that compressed look and dreamy background blur, especially for tighter headshots.

The Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG DN Art also looks interesting and is more affordable than the Sony GM.

For those of you shooting portraits on the A7IV, what focal lengths and lenses do you prefer and why? I'd love to get your thoughts on the 85mm vs 135mm options and Sony vs third party lenses.

My budget is flexible for the right lens, but I'd like to keep it under $2K if possible.

Thanks in advance for your advice and recommendations!

The new Sigma 50mm f/1.2 DG DN Art lens is a good choice.

I use Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM lens, a very superb lens.
