I have a PS5 in my living room but I still keep my old PS4 in the bedroom for late night gaming sessions. I really need a wireless headset that works perfectly with both without having to jump through hoops. I looked at the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ and the official Pulse 3D ones but people online say the 7P+ dongle is weird with the older PS4 ports or something? Or maybe the 3D audio isnt worth it if Im switching back and forth? I got about 150 bucks to spend for my bday next week so I dont want to waste it. Which one actually swaps between the two consoles the easiest without losing sound quality?

Honestly i have been using the <a href=" https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt= SteelSeries+Arctis+7P%2B+Wireless+Gaming+Headset&BI=8941&KBID=10361&SID=12345&DFF=d50" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ Wireless Gaming Headset for a long time and it works great on both consoles. You might want to be careful with the usb-c dongle tho. It is pretty wide and will definitely block the other usb port on your ps4 front panel. I would suggest always using the usb-a extension cable that comes in the box when you are playing in the bedroom to avoid that. The build quality feels way sturdier than the Sony PlayStation Pulse 3D Wireless Headset and the battery actually lasts long enough for those late night sessions. Just make sure to check the firmware when you get it... it can be finicky if not updated. If you run into any issues just shout and I can talk you through the setup. TL;DR: Go with the <a href=" https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt= SteelSeries+Arctis+7P%2B+Wireless+Gaming+Headset&BI=8941&KBID=10361&SID=12345&DFF=d50" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ Wireless Gaming Headset but use the included adapter cable on ps4 so you dont lose your other ports.

Like someone mentioned, that wide dongle on the Arctis is a total pain for PS4 ports. Id be careful with that one. Maybe consider these instead:

I just saw this and honestly, you might want to be careful with how often you plug and unplug those usb dongles. Basically, I ruined a port on my old ps4 doing that every night and it was a total waste of money. Staying cautious about wear and tear is huge when moving gear. Are you looking for a long battery life so you dont have to swap chargers? Also, do you wear glasses?
