My PS5 storage is finally full after downloading the latest updates. I know I need a PCIe Gen4 M.2 NVMe with a heatsink, but there are so many options like the Samsung 980 Pro or WD Black SN850X. I'm looking for a 2TB drive that won't overheat. Which one offers the best performance for the price right now?

sooo i've been thinking about your post for a few hours now and i'm super excited to help u out cuz i *love* tinkering with PS5 hardware!! curious about one thing though: what's your actual budget limit for this? basically, are u looking for the absolute *FASTEST* drive available or just something that hits the Sony requirements without breaking the bank? honestly, i've tested a bunch of these and here are the best ones right now imo:
* WD_BLACK SN850X 2TB NVMe SSD with Heatsink - this one is literally amazing and usually has the best sustained performance.
* Samsung 990 Pro 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD with Heatsink - definitely a top-tier choice if you want that brand reliability.
* Crucial T500 2TB Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD with Heatsink - lowkey the best value for money right now tbh. they all stay cool, but knowing your price range helps me narrow it down further! cheers

For your situation:
- Nextorage NEM-PA 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD with Heatsink
- Lexar NM790 2TB NVMe SSD with Heatsink
Honestly, both are CHEAP and fast. Save cash cuz they work perfectly!
