I spent way too much time hunting for a deal on my first mirrorless and honestly, I probably overthought the price too much. When I finally grabbed my gear, I realized the performance bottleneck was actually the slow cards and kit glass I picked up just because they were cheap. Be careful about those massive holiday bundles because they often pad the price with stuff you wont actually use.

• Watch out for slow memory cards that kill your recording buffer
• Be careful with standard lenses if you plan on shooting in low light
• Make sure to look at spare batteries because these small systems eat them for breakfast I would suggest just sticking with Sony for the autofocus performance alone. You might want to consider going with any fast prime lens from Sony to start with, you really cant go wrong with their ecosystem. Just make sure you dont sacrifice image quality just to save a few bucks on the body deal.

Stumbled upon this discussion and omg I am in the exact same boat right now! I have been hunting for a real deal on the ZV-E10 for weeks but everything is just the same tiny discount everywhere and it is driving me crazy. I am really stressing over whether my older glass is even gonna be fully compatible with the specific AF features or if I am just gonna waste my money... and I just cannot find a straight answer or a better price anywhere! I literally spent all of last night refreshing tabs until my eyes hurt but still nothing.
