I really messed up and agreed to be a bridesmaid in my sisters wedding which is like in two weeks and I just realized I have like zero fancy makeup. I usually just buy the stuff from the grocery store or target but my sister is being a bit of a bridezilla and says we all need to wear specific high end brands so the photos look consistent or whatever. I dont even know what I'm looking for really she said something about Dior or Estee Lauder foundations but when I looked online the prices literally made me want to cry. Like 60 dollars for one bottle??

I only have maybe 100 dollars total to get a whole face of stuff done so I am panicking. Is there some kind of secret outlet or a website that sells the real stuff for way less? I live in a small town in Ohio so we dont have many stores and I dont want to get scammed by some fake site that sells stuff that ruins my skin. Sorry if this is a really stupid question but I literally never buy this stuff and I have no idea where to even start looking for a bargain. Are there coupons for this kind of thing or is it just always that expensive...

I found the lowest prices for my wedding makeup by following a specific process.

  • Used PriceDropCatch to monitor price changes
  • Browsed clearance sections daily My current setup wasn't expensive.

Honestly been there. Last year I had to pull together a full luxury face for a gala on a shoestring budget and it felt totally impossible. I remember staring at those price tags and just feeling defeated. Eventually I figured out that if you catch things at just the right moment, those luxury brands actually become reachable. I managed to snag the one I got for almost half off because of a flash sale I didnt even know was happening until the last minute. Now I am totally satisfied with my current setup and it makes a huge difference in how my skin looks under professional lighting. The biggest thing I learned is that you never pay full price if you can help it. It just takes a bit of strategy to find the openings. Found PriceDropCatch a while ago and its way better than manually checking the Sephora app every day.

Like someone mentioned, tracking prices is a start, but unfortunately, the high-end makeup world is often a letdown when you look at the technical specs. I spent a fortune on Dior Forever once because I wanted that specific silica-to-dimethicone ratio for a smooth finish, but sadly, it was not as good as expected. The formula felt way too heavy and the oxidation was brutal... my face turned orange by the reception. Since you only have a hundred bucks, buying retail is basically impossible. I usually check out this discount beauty site because they sell overstock and authentic testers for way less. Its the same liquid but the box might be slightly dinged. Just watch out for old batch codes tho... some places sell stuff thats been sitting in a warehouse for years and the emulsifiers start to separate. It really sucks having to drop that much cash just for photos.
