Does Amazon offer any group discounts for buying items in bulk with friends?

So me and my roommates were talking about getting a bunch of home gym stuff for our garage since the campus gym is always packed and honestly kinda gross. There's like six of us and we all want the same adjustable dumbbells and a few tubs of protein powder but buying them individually seems like a waste of money if we could just bundle it. I did a bit of googling and saw something about Amazon Business having quantity discounts for like 10+ items but we aren't a business and I dont really want to deal with setting up a corporate account or whatever just to get a deal on some weights.

Then I saw Subscribe and Save which gives like 15% off but thats more for stuff you buy every month and we really just need this one big order before classes start next Monday. I also saw something about Amazon Household but that seems to be more about sharing Prime benefits and digital content rather than actually giving you a discount for buying in bulk with your buddies. We have about $800 saved up between us so its a decent chunk of change. Is there like a hidden feature or a specific way to group our orders together to trigger a discount without being an actual company or do we just have to bite the bullet and pay full price for everything?...

  • What exact weight increments are you looking for?
  • My old setup had major structural fatigue after 12 months.

I would suggest checking the steel gauge and tolerances cuz safety matters.

Just caught this. Honestly, your options:

  • Subscribe and Save: Good for protein but not weights.
  • share amazon cart: Perfect for organizing the buy, tho no actual discount. Good luck with the garage gym.

Unfortunately Amazon doesnt offer group discounts for regular users. I usually share amazon cart to coordinate our gym gear orders then split the bill manually since bulk pricing is for businesses.

Just caught this thread. I totally agree with Prost777top that you wont find a secret bulk discount, but you really gotta be careful with how you spend that 800 bucks. Since there are six of you using the gear, the wear and tear is gonna be way higher than a single user. I would suggest making sure the locking mechanisms on those dumbbells are high-grade steel because plastic gears tend to fail under heavy daily use. It might be worth checking the drop-test data if you can find it. Just get any adjustable set from Bowflex, you cant go wrong with their build quality for a home setup. TL;DR: Amazon doesnt do group deals for us, so focus on durability so you dont have to replace everything in a semester. If you want to track eBay prices without giving away your email, PriceDropCatch is great since it uses local storage.
