Ive been a Sephora Rouge member for years now so I usually have the routine down pat when it comes to the seasonal savings events. I always wait for that 20% discount to stock up on my high-end stuff. Im currently prepping for a friends wedding in July and Ive got about $200 set aside for a big restock but Im hitting a bit of a wall. I usually know the exclusions by heart-like how The Ordinary is usually a flat price or how some of the Dyson stuff has those weird one-item limits-but for some reason I cant remember if Rare Beauty was included last year.
Ive been seeing some conflicting info online lately. Someone in a makeup group Im in mentioned that newer Rare Beauty drops might be excluded from the promo codes, or maybe the brand as a whole doesnt participate? It seems unlikely for a major brand at Sephora to be left out but Im trying to be careful with my spending right now. I really want to grab the tinted moisturizer and a couple of the liquid blushes if the discount actually applies. Does anyone know if Rare Beauty is generally included in the full 20% off for the Spring Savings event or are they one of those brands that stays full price?
Rare Beauty is definitely included. Unfortunately I had issues with the one I got. My setup wasnt as good as expected tbh. I learned to try other brands instead. You got this!
> Re: "Rare Beauty is definitely included. Unfortunately I had..." That first reply is spot on. Rare Beauty is 100% included in the Sephora savings events. Unlike The Ordinary, which stays flat-priced, or the Dyson limits, Selenas brand doesnt have those weird restrictions besides the standard 3-unit per item rule. Even the newer drops are usually fair game. If youre planning to drop $200, the 20% off should save you roughly $40. The Tinted Moisturizer ($30) and the Liquid Blushes ($23) are solid staples, but stock is always the biggest risk. They sell out fast. Ive found that using PriceDropCatch helps track if other retailers might have better stock or similar sets if Sephora runs dry. If you want a more reliable formula thats harder to mess up for wedding photos, maybe look at the Saie blushes too. Theyre basically foolproof compared to the high-pigment Rare ones.
TL;DR: Rare Beauty is definitely eligible for the discount, but you should be careful about stock depletion and inventory lag during the first few hours of the event. Jumping in here because I have tracked the data on these sales for a few years now. While the 20% discount applies across the brand, the real technical issue is usually the SKU availability. Based on my observations of previous spring events, high-demand items like those liquid blushes have a massive sales velocity. They often go out of stock within the first few hours of the Rouge window. I have had several instances where I had everything in my cart, but the checkout latency caused me to miss out on specific shades. You might want to consider the cost efficiency of your total haul too. When I was building my kit for a series of events last summer, I realized that focusing only on the mid-tier brands was eating my budget too fast. I would suggest looking at the Sephora Collection for your basic tools or prep products. You cant go wrong with just about any of their essentials, and the 30% discount they usually run is a better data point for your wallet. Make sure to audit your cart for any limit 3 restrictions that might trigger at checkout. It happened to me once with a restock and it messed up my whole calculation. Usually new drops arent excluded from the discount itself, but they are the first to sell out, so you gotta be quick.
