Does anyone know which Chrome extension actually works for tracking eBay price history? Im getting so frustrated because I've been watching this specific vintage camera for my photography class and the price keeps jumping up and down every single day and I have no idea if Im getting a good deal or not.

I tried to look for a button on the site but I cant find anything and I honestly have no clue what Im doing with these browser add-on things. Sorry if this is a super basic question but I really dont want to waste my $200 budget on something that was $50 cheaper last week. Is there a free one that just shows a graph or something??

Recently I've been looking into this for my own gear. eBay API limitations make data scraping difficult so be careful with random plugins that might harvest your data.

  • I think people use a tool called eBay Price Tracker but I am not sure if it is supported.
  • Someone told me that Check It Out was the way to go.
  • Not sure but you might want to consider double checking sold listings manually to verify graph data.

@Reply #1 - good point! The API changes make extensions tricky, but I've been highly satisfied using WatchCount as an alternative. It works well for tracking overall item popularity. For actual prices, my best tip is to just use eBay's built-in 'Sold Items' filter on the sidebar. It shows exactly what people recently paid, which is much more reliable than price tracking graphs anyway.
