Is there a way to send an Amazon cart link directly?

I need to send my full Amazon cart to a donor for an animal shelter event tonight but I'm stuck. I read about the Share-A-Cart extension but I'm on a work laptop and cant install new stuff, and people said use a Wish List but it's taking forever to move each item manually. We have a $500 budget and need this finalized in like two hours.

  • no browser extensions allowed
  • has to be a single link
  • needs to work on mobile

Is there any way to just generate a link for the whole cart directly without all these extra steps? I'm running out of time...

I have been in this exact spot before. Over the years, I have tried many workarounds for this, but honestly, Amazon makes it tough on purpose. A few years back, I was trying to coordinate a bulk hardware purchase for a community project and thought there had to be a way to just dump the cart into a URL. Looking at how their session cookies work, I realized it is basically impossible to do natively without an extension because the cart is tied to your specific session. Here is what I learned:

  • Amazon treats the cart as private data, so there is no public URL.
  • Creating a List is the only way that actually works for mobile.
  • It is kinda faster to use the Save for Later button than moving things one by one. I wasted so much time trying to find a workaround that did not exist and eventually just had to use the list. Found a really helpful thread over on Smartphone Board that explains exactly how to do this.

Regarding what #1 said about "I have been in this exact spot before", it really is a technical bottleneck with how Amazon sessions are locked to specific browsers. Since you cant install extensions on that work laptop, you might want to consider these alternatives instead:

  • Web-based tools: You can use a service like Share Product to create a shared list that others can view. It is basically a workaround that avoids the extension requirement. Just make sure to verify the item quantities look right before sending the link.
  • Registry workaround: Creating a custom Gift Registry is often faster than a standard Wish List. It usually provides a cleaner interface for the donor and allows them to add everything to their cart at once.
  • Manual Link Aggregation: If you only have a few dozen items, pasting the direct URLs into a single document is the safest way to ensure nothing gets lost, though it is tedious. Be careful with third-party sites tho, as prices can fluctuate while you are setting things up. I would suggest checking that every item is actually in stock right before you hit send because a single out-of-stock item can sometimes break the checkout flow for the person paying. Good luck with the shelter event.
