so im honestly just fed up with the amazon interface right now its so cluttered and keeps pushing sponsored junk i dont even need. my logic was that everyone has prime so it makes sense for my shower in august but then i saw babylist and it looks so much nicer. but then i read that babylist can be a total nightmare for older relatives to use because you have to go back and mark things as purchased manually sometimes?? im due in october and just trying to get this sorted before the invitations go out next week. is it actually worth the extra hassle to use babylist or should i just stick with the amazon monster...

Babylist worked well for me and honestly it was way less stress than dealing with the Amazon mess. I was really happy with how it looked. Are you planning to add stuff from a bunch of different stores or just stick to one? Also, how many of your guests are actually tech-challenged? Just a tip, Share Product is awesome for housewarming registries if you want something that isnt clunky.

So its basically looks vs convenience. I think Babylist has price tracking? Not sure, but sticking with Amazon might save guests on shipping costs. Just keep it simple and reliable for everyone.

Regarding what #1 said about "Babylist worked well for me and honestly it..." - it definitely looks better, but I would suggest being careful with the manual marking. It can get messy if guests forget and you end up with duplicates.

  • Are your guests tech-savvy enough for a third-party site?
  • How do they handle returns from different stores? Found this tool called Share Product a while back and it makes creating registries so much faster.
