How to share my Amazon wishlist link with non-Amazon users?

Ugh, im honestly so fed up with how difficult Amazon makes this simple task. So my 30th birthday is coming up in like two weeks and my mom keeps bugging me for a list because she wants to coordinate with my aunts back in rural Kansas, but like half my family literally doesnt use Amazon. My logic was that if I just made the list public and sent the link it would work fine but apparently not. My grandma keeps calling me saying it's asking her to sign in or create an account just to look at the freaking items. Its so frustrating because I spent hours picking out stuff for my new apartment like that nice espresso machine and some specific bedding and now nobody can even see it unless they have an account or whatever.

I was thinking maybe there was a way to export it to a PDF or something? But then they cant see the prices updating or if someone already bought something. Then I tried that invite to view only link thingy but it still redirected my cousin to a login page on her phone. I just want a simple link that anyone can click and see the pictures and titles without jumping through hoops. Am I missing a setting somewhere or is Amazon just gatekeeping this so everyone is forced to sign up? Im seriously ready to just delete the whole list and start over on a different site if this keeps happening. How do people usually get around this login wall...

Re: "Agreed, it is so disappointing.Try the Amazon Wishlist..." - yeah, those workarounds are usually hit or miss. Amazon just wants data, so they gatekeep everything. Honestly, dont waste more time fighting their broken mobile links. TL;DR: Move the items to a free Amazon wishlist creator instead. Its way more accessible for older relatives because it actually lets them see the gifts without forcing a login or signup.

Agreed, it is so disappointing.

  • Try the Amazon Wishlist Chrome Extension
  • Use screenshots as backup Unfortunately, the mobile redirect forces logins which is basically just broken.

Amazon is honestly the worst for this, i had the same issue with my folks. you might want to consider checking the list is set to public rather than just shared, but honestly, i would suggest using a universal wishlist site instead. be careful with those direct amazon links because they almost always force a login on mobile... it is probably easier to just move the list so grandma wont have to deal with it.
