I'm trying to get all the gear ready for our hiking trip next Saturday and I've got like 12 items in my Amazon cart right now. I need my buddy to look at it to make sure I didnt miss any of the specific gear he wanted but I cant find a simple share button anywhere.

I looked online and some people say to just make a Wish List but that takes forever to move everything over and I dont think it shows the quantities of the stuff I added. I saw some Chrome extension called Share-a-Cart but I'm super nervous about installing random plugins on my computer since I use it for my banking. Is there a way to just send the actual cart link directly within Amazon? I'm really worried about missing the shipping window...

Unfortunately there still isnt a simple way to do this directly. Ive had issues with their list sharing for years and its never as good as expected tbh. You basically have to use the lists or just send screenshots. If youre stressed about the gear quality tho, just get any hiking gear from Columbia. You really cant go wrong with them for a trip like this.

Amazon's lack of a native cart API is a technical mess and inefficient. You basically have to:

  • use a shared list
  • screenshot everything Just get any Osprey bag, theyre great.
