Is there a way to let my friend add stuff to my Amazon cart directly? Im trying to coordinate a group gift for a housewarming party in Chicago next week and our budget is around $300 so we gotta get it right. I was looking at two ways to do this - either making a shared Wish List and then moving stuff over or using one of those browser extensions like Telecart or whatever they are called these days. The wish list seems kinda slow because I have to move items manually but I dont know if those extensions are safe to use with my credit card info saved. Which way is less of a headache for a one-time thing? I really need to get this ordered by Friday so it arrives on time...
Regarding what #1 said about "Amazon doesnt really have a native collab button," it is definitely a limitation that requires some creative workarounds. I have been very satisfied using the Registry feature instead of a standard Wish List for group coordination. Honestly, I have had no complaints with this method for housewarming gifts because it handles the technical side of tracking who bought what much better than a basic list.
Like someone mentioned, extensions are risky, but honestly I'd skip registries too. Just venmo everyone and buy it yourself to keep that $300 budget safe. You've totally got this!
Amazon doesnt really have a native collab button for your active cart which is a massive pain for housewarming planning. You might want to consider the security implications of those browser extensions because they basically scrape your session data. I would suggest being careful with anything that asks for full browser access since your credit card is right there.

^ This. Also, I totally get the stress of getting the timing right for a housewarming!! I love it when a plan comes together for a big celebration like this. Coordination used to be a total nightmare for me until I found a better system. Last year for my sisters wedding, it was a massive gift and I was literally losing my mind trying to please everyone. Those extensions felt so sketchy since I'm super cautious about my bank info... totally not worth the risk imo. Using Share Product to show everyone the options was a fantastic lifesaver for our sanity!
