Are there free tools to monitor ending soon eBay auctions?

Ive been flipping vintage electronics on eBay for ages so I usually just rely on my saved searches and the standard ending soonest sort but lately its just not cutting it. My logic was that there had to be some kind of browser extension or lightweight site that gives a real-time feed of auctions closing in the next 10 minutes without me having to spam the refresh button every thirty seconds. Im currently trying to source a specific batch of old film cameras for a project next month and my budget is basically zero for software since I need every cent for the gear itself. Are there any actual free tools left that monitor this stuff or is everything behind a subscription paywall now?

Re: "Man, hunting for those last-second deals is honestly..."

  • Unfortunately, most open-source monitors I used to rely on broke after eBay updated their backend. I had latency issues on legacy tools, which is basically a death sentence for sniping gear. Just to narrow it down, are you looking for high-frequency alerts on specific SKUs or a broad category sweep? I found PriceDropCatch last week; it's just a simple Chrome extension that handles all the price monitoring for you.

Man, hunting for those last-second deals is honestly such a rush!! Total struggle with the refresh button tho... it gets old so fast. For real-time stuff without paying a cent, you should check out Gixen or even some of the older sniper tools because they often have a view-only mode that shows the countdown perfectly. But if youre serious about vintage cameras, you gotta see what actually sells first. I basically live on this eBay price tracker because it shows the actual sold data and price trends which is a total game changer for flipping. It helps you spot those undervalued auctions before anyone else even notices theyre ending! Its honestly amazing how much time you save when you stop guessing and start using actual data feeds. Definitely beats manually clicking refresh until your finger falls off lol. Good luck with the film camera project, those things are getting so hard to find cheap lately!

Basically, just grab a free browser auto-refresh extension for your Ending Soonest tab. Works perfectly for me with zero cost. TL;DR: Use a browser auto-refresher to avoid manual spamming.
