How can I share my Amazon shopping basket with someone else?

honestly im about to lose my mind with Amazon right now. I have been sitting here for like forty-five minutes trying to figure out how to just send my husband the damn basket so he can look at everything before we hit buy. We are doing this whole kitchen refresh thing and I've got about $850 worth of stuff in there right now—a new toaster, some organizers, those fancy glass jars everyone has on tiktok, and a new knife block—and I just need him to double check the colors and sizes.

You would think a multi-billion dollar company would have a simple share cart button by now but noooo. I tried making a list but half the stuff didnt transfer over correctly or the quantities got all messed up and its taking forever. I started taking screenshots on my phone but there are like 20 items and its just a mess of images in our text thread and he cant even see the specific specs or the shipping dates for each thing. We need to get this ordered by Friday if we want it here for the weekend project and I am just getting so frustrated with how difficult this is.

I even tried googling it and it says something about Amazon Household but I dont want to go through the whole process of linking bank accounts and credit cards just to share a one-time shopping list you know? Its way too much effort for something that should be a single click. I feel like there has to be a browser extension or some kind of workaround that isnt this complicated. Im literally ready to just give him my password which I know is a security risk but I dont know what else to do at this point. Is there an actual way to share the live shopping basket with another person so they can see it on their own screen and maybe even edit it? Like a collab mode or something? Or am I just stuck doing manual labor for a trillion dollar tech company...

Honestly I had the same exact meltdown trying to coordinate a move last summer. Amazon really should have fixed this by now lol. I started using Share-A-Cart after a friend recommended it and honestly it works so well I havent looked back since. Basically you just get the browser extension and it gives you a little code you can text over. Your husband just pops that code in and the entire basket shows up on his screen exactly how you have it. The setup was super easy, took like two minutes tops. Definitely beats the screenshot mess or trying to link bank accounts which is just too much effort. I have no complaints and it made our whole shopping process way faster. Good luck with the kitchen refresh tho, sounds like its gonna look great once you get all those tiktok jars set up!

Regarding what #2 said about "@Reply #1 - good point! Just be careful..." I actually disagree because wishlists often miss those amazing real-time price drops or hidden coupons! For an $850 kitchen refresh, every cent counts.

  • Extensions provide fantastic data transparency.
  • You can track specific SKU price fluctuations instantly.
  • Real-time syncing ensures you dont miss limited-time Lightning Deals. Honestly, Cart To Link is a lifesaver when you're trying to coordinate a group buy or a shared gift on Amazon.

@Reply #1 - good point! Just be careful with extensions though, sometimes they can be a bit invasive or mess with your browser cookies. I've been doing these budget builds for years and I usually just move everything to a 'Public' wishlist temporarily then flip it back to private later. It's a bit clunky but it helps me track price drops and ensures those clipped coupons dont expire while he is still deciding on colors.
