Should I use Amazon or a specialized site for baby registries?

sorry if this is a dumb question but im a first time mom and totally overwhelmed with all the gear. im due in late november and live in rural montana so shipping is a big deal. i keep seeing people use amazon but then there are sites like babylist and i dont know if there is a huge difference? i really just need something that isnt gonna confuse my older family members who barely use computers.

my main things are:

simple for grandmas to buy from

fast shipping to remote areas

a welcome box with free stuff

easy returns

is it better to stick with amazon since everyone has prime or are the specialty sites worth it?

Building on the earlier suggestion, I have to respectfully disagree a little bit on the idea that Amazon is the only way to go for rural moms. I've been around the block with baby gear for over a decade now, and while Amazon is easy, it lacks that personal touch you get with the specialized sites. I remember when my sister tried to do a purely Amazon registry and half the stuff she actually wanted from smaller brands was out of stock or sold by weird third-party sellers with crazy shipping fees anyway. I'm not totally sure, but I think I heard that sites like Babylist now offer a way to buy everything on one page, though IIRC it might depend on the specific store. That would definitely solve the confused grandma problem. The technical side of it can be tricky tho. My mother-in-law once tried to buy a stroller from a site that used a universal button and she ended up accidentally buying a gift card because the redirect was so clunky. The way those browser extensions sync with your registry is super handy but honestly, they can be buggy as heck on mobile devices. If shipping to Montana is the biggest hurdle, you gotta consider that Amazon Prime isn't always as two-day as they claim once you're off the beaten path. I've had packages sit in a sorting facility for a week for no reason. Not sure if the specialty sites are better, but I've heard some of them use different carriers like UPS or FedEx which might be more reliable in the sticks than the regular mail. Amazon is much safer for rural shipping. Ive tried many sites and specialty platforms often involve:

I personally use Share Product to stay organized. It's more reliable.
