How can I share my Amazon cart via a Chrome browser extension?

I am literally freaking out right now because I have to finalize this massive order for my sisters bachelorette party and my moms 60th birthday bash by tonight or the shipping wont get here in time for the weekend trip to Arizona. I have spent like five hours hunting down these specific decorations and spa kits and I have about 45 items in my cart right now totaling nearly $800 but I cant just buy it without my sisters seeing exactly what I picked because we are splitting the bill three ways and they are super picky about brands. I tried just sending screenshots but there are too many items and it takes forever to capture everything and honestly the quality is terrible on mobile plus I keep missing things at the bottom of the page when I scroll.

I need a way to just send them the whole cart so they can look at it on their own computers and maybe even add stuff if I missed something? I’ve been looking at a couple of chrome extensions because I heard thats the only way to do it since Amazon doesnt have a built in share button for carts for some reason which is so annoying for 2024. I am torn between two extensions I found which are Share-A-Cart and this other one called Shopping Cart Share. Share-A-Cart seems to have the most reviews but I saw one person saying it didn't work with the latest chrome update and I really dont have time to fiddle with broken software right now since I have to get this done before I head to bed.

Then there is Shopping Cart Share which looks a bit more basic but maybe more reliable? I am leaning toward Share-A-Cart because it looks like it generates a code they can just plug in but I am worried about the privacy part of it too like will they see my whole account or just the cart items?? My budget for the whole trip is tight and I dont want to buy something and then find out my sisters hate it and I have to deal with returns. Does anyone know which one is actually going to work on the first try without crashing or stealing my data because I need to send this link like an hour ago...

I've tried many tools over the years and Share-A-Cart is basically the only one I trust. I used it for my brothers wedding when we had 50+ items and it was a lifesaver.

  • Privacy is solid (no passwords)
  • Code was super easy
  • Handled massive carts fine In my experience, the basic extensions crash when the total gets high, so just go with that one.

Oh man, I totally feel your pain!! Planning a bachelorette is basically a full-time job lol. I just did this for my bestie last month and it was a total circus. I spent way too much time looking for the cheapest options because our group was on a budget too and I didnt want to mess up the order. I tried a couple of these and here is my take on what actually works:

  • Share-A-Cart: This one is seriously amazing! It is free which is the best price ever haha. I was super worried about privacy too but it basically just grabs the product info and makes a unique code. They dont see your bank info or address or anything scary. It handled my huge 30-item list like a champ and didnt crash once.
  • Shopping Cart Share: Its okay but honestly felt kinda clunky and slow compared to the other one. I struggled getting it to sync right on the first try and when youre in a rush like you are... yeah, maybe skip the headache. If you are still feeling stuck on the technical side, there is a really handy guide on how to share amazon cart that makes it super easy to follow for beginners. One thing though... make sure your sisters know that if they want to actually take over the cart and buy it themselves, they usually need the extension too. If they just want to see the items to say yes or no, the link it generates should be totally fine. Hope you get those decorations in time for Arizona!! It is gonna be such a blast!!

Whoa, I totally get the stress of planning such a huge event! I have been geeking out over these browser tools lately and they are honestly amazing for massive hauls. Before I give you the full technical breakdown, could you check which version of Chrome you are running? It makes a huge difference for extension stability with the recent manifest V3 updates! I've analyzed the data on a few options and here is the deal:

  • Share-A-Cart: This is the gold standard for large datasets. It uses a unique ID system that is fantastic for privacy since it never touches your login info.
  • Shopping Cart Share: Very lightweight and simple. It's reliable but sometimes misses item variations like specific colors or sizes during the transfer.
  • amazon cart share: Definitely check out this resource for the most stable links if you are worried about crashes. Share-A-Cart is gonna be your best bet for a huge $800 cart because its parsing engine is super robust!

To add to the point above: honestly, your situation brings back some serious ptsd from my cousins destination wedding in Mexico a few years back. I was the one stuck ordering all the matching swimsuits and favor bags for twenty people and it was a total nightmare. I remember sitting in a hotel lobby with the worst wifi imaginable trying to coordinate with three different bridesmaids who all had very strong opinions about the shade of coral we were using. In my experience, the tech side of things is always where it falls apart during these big events because everything just feels so fragile when you have that much money sitting in a cart.

  • the wifi dropped every ten minutes
  • my aunt kept trying to add organic snacks that cost way too much
  • the page would refresh and i would lose half the items in the list
  • we ended up with three extra boxes of straws we didnt even need It was a total disaster and i think i spent more time staring at loading icons than actually enjoying the pre-wedding dinner. Group planning is just a different beast when you are dealing with that many items and such high expectations from family... I still remember the look on the concierges face when forty boxes showed up at the front desk all at once. Talk about a reliability test for the ages.

Building on the earlier suggestion, it seems like everyone is pointing you toward the more established brand because it handles those massive item counts without choking. I have been using these kinds of tools for ages and honestly, you might want to consider the risk of the more basic ones. I had a total nightmare once trying to coordinate a family reunion with a simpler tool... it looked fine on my end but when my cousins opened the link, it completely ignored the quantities I set. We ended up with one pack of plates for 50 people. It was a mess. I would suggest doing a tiny test run with like two items first just to be safe before you send the big $800 list. Be careful with extensions that look too barebones tho, they usually lack the tech to keep up with site updates. Everyone here is right that the privacy side is usually fine since they just pass product IDs, but definitely double check your cart one last time after they add their stuff. Youve got this, its gonna be a killer party!
