Honestly I'm so fed up with trying to get this 65-inch Sony Bravia up on the wall and it's driving me crazy. My logic was that a universal mount would actually be universal but apparently Sony decided to put the VESA holes in the weirdest spot ever on the back of this thing. I bought this basic tilt one and the brackets literally block half the HDMI ports which is just great because I need all of them for my PS5 and the soundbar. I have like $130 left in my budget for this project and I really need it done by Saturday before my brothers come over for the game. I was looking at the Sanus ones or maybe the official Sony one but that is way too expensive. There are like fifty different models at the store and I cant tell which one wont cover the inputs or make the TV sit way too high because of that low mounting point.
I've checked these so far:
Is there a specific model that actually works with the Bravia 65s without making me drill twenty holes in my drywall just to test it out? Every time I think I found the right one I read a review saying it doesnt fit the spacers or the bracket sticks out the bottom. Im just ready to give up... what are you guys using for yours?
I had that same struggle and honestly the Sanus VLT7-B2 Advanced Tilt 4D works great for those weird VESA holes. It wont block ports and fits your budget, super happy with it.
Sony's low holes are such a pain. I almost wrecked my A80J trying to force a generic mount that blocked the power cord. Be really careful with those vertical brackets. I would suggest the Echogear Full Motion Articulating TV Wall Mount EGLF2. Its about $100 and the open backplate leaves the ports accessible. Just use the thick spacers so you dont damage the panel. TL;DR: Use the Echogear Full Motion Articulating TV Wall Mount EGLF2 for port clearance.
Like someone mentioned, the port layout is a mess. I went with the Sanus VLL5-B1 Fixed-Position Mount and I'm very satisfied.
