I'm starting high-intensity HIIT and sprints, but my current buds keep falling out. I love Sony's sound and want a pair that can handle heavy movement and lots of sweat.

  • IPX4 water resistance
  • Secure fit for jumping
  • Great noise canceling

Which Sony headphones are actually best for high-intensity gym workouts?

If you are looking to save some cash, honestly you cant go wrong with the Sony WF-C700N Truly Wireless Noise Canceling Earbuds. I have used mine for sprints and they dont budge at all. They have got the IPX4 rating you need and the noise canceling is surprisingly solid for the price. Way cheaper than the flagship models and honestly better for the gym imo.

ngl i went through a whole phase of losing earbuds under treadmills before i figured out what actually worked. if youre doing real high-intensity stuff like sprints you basically need something with a wing tip. i swear by the Sony WF-SP800N Noise Canceling Truly Wireless Sports Headphones for my hiit days. they have these arc supports that lock into your ear so they dont move an inch when you jump. plus they are ip55 rated so they are actually tougher against sweat than standard ipx4 buds. the noise canceling is solid enough to let me focus on my own music too. i managed to snag mine on a deep discount compared to the newer flagship models which was nice for the wallet. definitely worth checking out if you want that secure feel without spending a fortune... they are just more practical for the gym environment tbh.

I have tried a few and if you want the absolute best ANC, the Sony WF-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Canceling Earbuds are incredible, tho they are pricey. For strictly HIIT, the Sony LinkBuds S Noise Canceling Earbuds are my go-to since they are way lighter and feel more locked in during sprints. Both are IPX4, but the XM5s can feel a bit bulky during heavy movement imo.

Honestly I've been super satisfied with Sony's gym performance lately. Compared to brands like Beats or Jabra, Sony just feels more solid. If the ones mentioned already aren't doing it for you, you might actually prefer the Sony WF-1000XM4 Truly Wireless Noise Canceling Earbuds over the newer flagship. The foam tips on the XM4 are basically magic for high-intensity stuff. They expand to fit your ear canal. Super secure. I do heavy sprints and burpees, and they dont budge at all. Tbh, compared to something like the Powerbeats Pro which have that clunky hook, these feel much more premium and sleek. The ANC is a total lifesaver when the gym music is terrible too. Works well for me and I've had zero complaints about the fit even during intense cardio... just make sure to dry the contacts after a sweaty session so they last.
