Looking for gimbal recommendations for my new Sony a9iii. Primarily planning to use it for run-and-gun shooting, filming both static and dynamic subjects. Considering weight, battery life, and ease of balancing with various lenses (especially Sony GM lenses). I'd prefer a gimbal with good stabilization performance and intuitive controls. Any specific models that consistently deliver smooth footage with the a9iii's full-frame sensor and IBIS? Also, what's your experience with using heavier lenses on different gimbals with this camera body?

I use DJI RS 4, works well and no problems.

Hey! I've been happy with my Tilta Nucleus-Nano II Gimbal paired with the a9iii. It's surprisingly compact for its capabilities. I grabbed it last month for around $750. Balancing my Sony 24-70mm GM (886g) was surprisingly easy, even one-handed. I was filming a wedding with lots of running around, and the stabilization was solid. It might not be top-of-the-line, but the built-in focus motor and simplified controls really sped up my workflow. I get about 6 hours of battery life, which is sufficient for my needs. Are you planning on using any particularly heavy cinema lenses?

Technically, for absolute stability, the DJI Ronin 2 *might* be overkill, but it handles heavier lenses (like the 24-70mm GM) better than the RS3 Pro, in my experience. Unfortunately, it's bulkier. Have you considered a used MoVI Pro? Still a solid option.

Hey! Before dropping $$$ on a fancy gimbal, experiment with a $150 Zhiyun Crane M2S! Its 0.6kg payload might surprise you. See if that works before going bigger!
