I'm an avid wildlife photographer looking to upgrade to a Sony camera. I need a camera with fast autofocus, high burst rate, and excellent low-light performance for capturing elusive animals in their natural habitats.
I've been considering the Sony A9 III and the A7R V, but I'm unsure which would be the better choice. The A9 III boasts incredible speed, while the A7R V offers higher resolution.
If you have experience with Sony cameras for wildlife photography, I would greatly appreciate your insights and recommendations.
Thanks in advance!
Wildlife photography need a fast camera. For full frame a1 and a9 III are good choices, for APS-C, a6700 is a good choice.
If you need an extra reach for shy wildlife subjects, I suggest taking a look at the Sony 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G telephoto lens. When paired with an APS-C camera like the Sony A6700, you get an equivalent focal length of 300-900mm which lets you photograph subjects from far away. The compact and lightweight design of the lens also makes it fairly portable for hiking.
For wildlife photography with Sony cameras, the Sony Alpha a9 III is often considered one of the best choices. Its excellent low-light performance and robust build make it suitable for demanding outdoor conditions often encountered in wildlife photography.
