I recently upgraded to the Sony a7 IV and I'm looking for recommendations on the best memory cards for this camera. I'm aware it has dual card slots supporting both CFexpress Type A and SD UHS-II cards. I'm primarily shooting 4K video and high-speed continuous stills.
What cards are you using? Any specific brands or models you'd recommend? I'm particularly interested in reliability, write speeds, and overall performance. Also, how much capacity do you find sufficient for your needs?
Sony a7 IV supports both CFexpress Type-A card and UHS-II SD card.
I use Lexar CFexpress Type A Gold for my a7IV. I will get a UHS-II SD card for backup.
@god_3 I use Lexar Silver series Type-A card. Also works well on a7 IV. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=Lexar+Professional+CFexpress+Compatible+LCAEXSL160G+RNENG&BI=8941&KBID=10361&SID=12345&DFF=d50

Wow ok that changes things. Gonna have to rethink my approach now.
UHS-II SD card is recommended.
