I'm looking to upgrade to the Sony a7 IV and wondering if anyone's spotted good deals during this Prime Day. Has anyone seen significant discounts on the body or bundles with lenses? I'm particularly interested in deals that include memory cards or extra batteries. Also curious if third-party sellers on Amazon are offering better prices than Sony direct. Just found this thread and wanted to chime in because I've been obsessing over the same thing. Honestly, when it comes to a camera as expensive as the Sony a7 IV, I'm always super paranoid about reliability and warranty stuff. Those huge bundles with 50 accessories look tempting, but you gotta be careful. Here’s how I’m looking at the options right now: 1. **Shipped/Sold by Amazon:** This is the safest for reliability. You get the standard Sony warranty and no hassle returns if there's a sensor issue. Usually, they just do a flat discount, but at least you know it’s not a gray market import.
2. **Authorized Bundles (Adorama/B&H):** These guys often list on Amazon too. Their bundles are way more reliable because the extra batteries or cards are actually decent brands, not some no-name stuff that might leak or fail during a shoot.
3. **Third-party "Super Bundles":** I mean... wait, no, I’d probably avoid these. Often the "extra" batteries aren't OEM and the SD cards are too slow for the 4K 60p video on this cam. Realy not worth the risk imo. Basically, I use CamelCamelCamel to track the price history so I don't get fooled by fake discounts. Tbh I’d rather pay slightly more for peace of mind.

Late to the party but honestly, be super careful with those third-party sellers that arent Sony authorized. You might save a few bucks now but end up with a grey market camera that has zero warranty support. I always use a price tracker like CamelCamelCamel or Keepa to check the history because sometimes these Prime Day deals are just the price it was two weeks ago. Tbh, I would also stay away from the bundles that throw in generic chargers or batteries. I have seen those cheap third-party batteries swell up and get stuck inside the chamber which is a nightmare to fix. Stick to the body and maybe a solid SD card from a reputable brand instead of the filler junk that usually comes in those megapacks.
