My boyfriend recently gifted me a Sony a7 III, and I'm overwhelmed by lens options. Looking for recommendations that can handle both street photography (I love capturing candid moments in the city) and sports photography (mainly outdoor soccer games and track events).
Key requirements:
- Good autofocus for fast-moving subjects
- Suitable for both day/night shooting
- Weather-sealed if possible
- Not too heavy for walking around city
What would you recommend? Any experience with third-party lenses like Sigma or Tamron?

When choosing a lens for your Sony A7 III, consider your photography goals and the types of shots you want to capture. Since you're focusing on car photography with scenic backdrops, a versatile zoom lens would be ideal.
Recommended Lens:
- Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS: This lens is highly recommended as it offers a great range for both wide-angle and telephoto shots, making it perfect for landscapes and close-ups of your car. Its f/4 aperture is sufficient for most lighting conditions, and the image stabilization helps with handheld shooting.

For longer reach at sports, explore the 70-200mm f/2.8 options, although they\'re heavier. Sigma and Tamron are excellent third-party choices.
