I just moved into this tiny studio in Seattle and my desk is basically a postage stamp. Right now my PS4 Pro is taking up like half the surface area and its driving me crazy plus the fans are kicking in way louder than usual because it's too close to the wall. I need to get this thing standing up vertically like yesterday to save space. I spent like two hours looking at stuff online but I'm just more confused now.
I saw the official Sony stand but honestly paying 40 bucks for a circular piece of plastic feels like a total scam especially when I can find them used on eBay for that much. Then I looked at those big OIVO or Kootek cooling stations that have the controller chargers built in but I read a bunch of reviews saying the fans are cheap and just push dust inside or make a high-pitched whining noise which would drive me nuts. My budget is pretty tight like $25 max and I really just want something stable that wont tip over if I bump the desk. Should I just get a basic plastic slab or is there a specific brand that actually helps with airflow without being a loud mess? I need to order something tonight so it gets here by the weekend...
I totally get the space struggle! You should check out the Younik Vertical Stand for PS4 Pro. Its an amazing budget pick under 20 bucks that skips the noisy fans! It actually locks into the console with a screw so it wont tip over if you bump the desk.
Check the FastSnail Vertical Stand for PS4 Pro or ADZ Vertical Stand for PS4 Pro. FastSnail is thinner, while ADZ is sturdier imo. Both keep intake vents clear without any noisy fans.
i bought a basic plastic one last year and im so satisfied with it. agree that fans are junk. how much room do you have for back cables once it stands up?
