Does anyone know what the actual best price tracker is for Sony cameras on Amazon specifically because I am losing my mind watching these price tags? I am trying to get a Sony A7 IV before my sisters wedding in October—I live in Chicago and the shops here are even more expensive—but the Amazon prices are jumping around so much it is making me super anxious. Like one day it is down a bit and then the next morning it is back up to full retail and I am terrified I am gonna buy it and then see a massive price drop the next day and feel like an idiot.
I did some reading online and most people suggest either CamelCamelCamel or Keepa but honestly I am still confused. I tried using Camel but it feels really old and I couldnt figure out if it was actually tracking the third-party sellers or just Amazon directly. Then I looked at Keepa and it looks way more professional but I heard you have to pay a monthly subscription just to see the price drop alerts now? I really dont want to spend more money just to save money if that makes sense.
I just really need to get this right because my budget is strictly $2500 for the body and a starter lens and right now I am failing to make it work...
Hello, you can take a look at this:
Late to the party but honestly, skip the Keepa sub for just one purchase. I tried it for my Sony Alpha a7 IV Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera Body and felt kinda robbed. Just use free extensions like Honey or manually watch the Used
PriceBefore works well for monitoring the Sony Alpha a7 IV 33MP Mirrorless Camera Body and Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens.
I spent weeks monitoring gear last year and honestly, most trackers were a huge disappointment. Camel missed every single lightning deal I wanted because the API refresh rate is just too low. Unfortunately, Keepa is the only one with real-time accuracy, but that paywall is annoying.
