I just upgraded to the Sony ZV-E10 II and I'm looking for a reliable vlogging tripod. I need something lightweight for run-and-gun filming that can also handle a decent microphone setup. Is the official Sony Bluetooth grip worth the price, or should I go with a Joby GorillaPod instead? What’s your favorite stable but portable option?
Seconding the recommendation above about the Ulanzi. If ur looking for something literally solid, you might want to consider the Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod. Its basically the gold standard for budget stability. Make sure to check you're load capacity tho, cuz it only holds 1kg. It might be tight with a heavy mic setup? idk but its super reliable and doesnt break like the Joby. gl!

Quick question - what's the total payload weight with your mic setup?? Honestly, I was super disappointed with the Joby GorillaPod 3K Kit... the legs get loose way too fast. Try the Ulanzi MT-16 Extendable Camera Tripod instead. It's only $22, has a built-in cold shoe, and is way more stable for run-and-gun. Does your mic mount via cold shoe or a cage?? lol
Sooo, for your situation, I've used both for years and actually think the Sony GP-VPT2BT Shooting Grip with Wireless Remote Commander is totally worth it. Having those controls on the handle is a lifesaver for run-and-gun. - Sony Grip: amazing controls, super lightweight.
- Joby GorillaPod 3K Kit: better for weird angles and things tbh. Sony is definitely the best choice for walking and talking iirc. cheers!
Would love to know this too
