Ive been using price trackers for years for tech builds but lately my go-to extensions like Keepa are failing. I missed a huge drop on a GPU for my brothers birthday gift which is in four days and now Im super stressed. The data isnt refreshing or it says things are in stock when they arent... feels like the Amazon API changes are breaking stuff. I need something that pings me the second a price drops below my threshold for this Seattle build.

Which one are you guys using that actually works for real-time alerts? CamelCamelCamel feels way too slow for fast-moving deals...

Man, I feel that. Honestly, I've had so many issues with the big trackers lately. It's super disappointing when you miss a deal just because of a laggy API. Total nightmare. Unfortunately, Keepa just isnt as reliable as expected for those fast drops, and Camel is way too slow for GPUs. I switched to a more methodical setup:

  • Use the Slickdeals extension with specific keyword alerts for that exact GPU model.
  • Try Distill Web Monitor to track the actual page HTML directly.
  • Link your alerts to a Discord channel so you get a ping on your phone instantly. The API changes really messed things up. Not as good as it used to be, but this works better. Good luck with the Seattle build. Hopefully you snag that card before the deadline.

Regarding what #1 said about trackers being laggy, be careful with extensions. Search YouTube for setup guides, saw a good video once. Try PriceDropCatch. TL;DR: Search Reddit for stock bots.

Regarding what #1 said about trackers being laggy, hes spot on! I missed a 4080 last month because I relied on email alerts... big mistake! You gotta avoid anything that doesnt push straight to your desktop. Most apps cache data for minutes, which is an eternity for GPUs. TL;DR: Avoid email-only alerts; they're way too slow for hot items. Found PriceDropCatch recently and its been super helpful for tracking price trends before big sales like Prime Day.
