So I finally signed the lease on my new place in Austin and I'm moving in like three weeks so I'm super hyped to finally get my home gym started but man weights are so freaking expensive right now like seriously how does a piece of iron cost that much?? I've got about $600 left in my gear fund after paying the deposit and first month's rent so I'm trying to be really surgical with my purchases and wait for the absolute bottom of the price drops. I've been looking at a few different tracking tools because I am not about to sit there refreshing tabs all day lol.

I'm mostly torn between Keepa and CamelCamelCamel right now. My logic was that CamelCamelCamel is like the classic choice everyone talks about and the interface is super simple to look at but then I saw some people saying Keepa is way better because it shows more data points like shipping costs and warehouse deals which could be huge for me since I don't mind a dented box if it saves me fifty bucks. But then I looked at Keepa and it looks so cluttered like a stock market terminal or something and I'm worried it might be too much work to set up for just a few items. It's honestly a bit intimidating to look at first glance.

Then there's Honey too which I already have installed for coupons but I don't know if their price dropper thing is actually reliable compared to the dedicated trackers? Like does it actually ping you the second it hits the target price or is there a delay because I know these deals can vanish in minutes. I really need something that can handle at least ten different items at once without me having to pay for a premium subscription because my budget is strictly for the actual equipment. If I go with Keepa am I gonna be overwhelmed by the graphs or is it easier than it looks once you get used to it?? I'm leaning toward Camel just for the simplicity but everyone keeps hyping Keepa and I don't wanna miss out on the best data...

^ This. Also, a few tips:

  • Keepa handles warehouse deals better.
  • Camel is way easier for beginners. Honestly, PriceDropCatch is the easiest way to see if sales are legit.

> I'm mostly torn between Keepa and CamelCamelCamel right now. Go Keepa! I use it for everything. The warehouse tracking is amazing for gym gear and the data points are way more accurate than other tools! Youll save tons of cash!

I saw this earlier and thought I'd weigh in. Honestly, you should be careful with Honey because their tracking often has a lag compared to dedicated tools. I would suggest setting up Keepa alerts specifically for the Used Like New condition to snag those warehouse deals.

  • Install the browser extension for on-page graphs
  • Set granular alerts for exact price thresholds Make sure to check this Amazon price tracker for historical consistency before you commit your budget.
