What is the best Safari extension for creating a shopping wishlist?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a Safari extension to make a shopping wishlist that actually works because I am honestly so fed up with the ones I've tried? I’m currently trying to plan my sister’s baby shower here in Chicago for next month and it’s become a total nightmare trying to keep track of everything. I’ve been using Pinterest and some other random tracker but they are so glitchy and half the time the link just breaks or it doesnt capture the price correctly.

It is seriously driving me crazy having like 40 tabs open on my MacBook at all times just so I don’t lose the specific items I found at Target or those little local boutiques that dont have a save for later button. I just want something simple where I can click a button in the toolbar and it saves the item to a list I can actually see. I’m looking for something that:

  • works across different stores easily
  • lets me organize things into different lists
  • hopefully has an app so I can check it on my iPhone when I’m out

I dont want to pay a monthly subscription for a wishlist tool lol but I’d be okay with a small one-time fee if it actually solves this mess. Everything I find is either an ad-heavy mess or just doesnt work on Safari specifically. Is there anything out there that isnt garbage?

Wait, what version of macOS are you running exactly? Safari 17+ changed a lot with how extensions handle session data, which might be why your stuff is glitching... I would suggest checking out Karma for this. Be careful tho, some of these extensions really hog your RAM.

  • look for manifest v3 support
  • check the background sync settings
  • verify the iOS app uses the same backend

Ugh, the 40-tab struggle is so real. I was in the same boat when I was planning my wedding last year and it was literally making my brain melt. I think I finally found something that works tho. I started using Giftful a few months back and honestly I'm pretty satisfied with it. Not 100% sure if it handles every single tiny local boutique perfectly, but it's been solid for the bigger stores and most random sites I hit. It has a Safari extension that actually works and a mobile app too. I'm pretty sure it's free to use, or at least I havent paid a dime yet. IIRC it lets you make separate lists which would be perfect for your baby shower categories. It feels way less bloated than Pinterest and doesnt have all those annoying ads everywhere. Give it a look, might save your sanity lol.
