I'm totally freaking out because I got put in charge of the retirement gift for my boss Sarah here in our Chicago office and the party is next Friday. I have like 300 bucks collected from everyone but people keep emailing me different Amazon links and my head is spinning... I literally have no idea how to organize this without messing up the whole order or getting the wrong size. Is there like a tool or a way to make a shared cart where people can just put stuff in so we can all see it? Sorry if this is a really basic thing but I’ve never done a group order before and I'm terrified I'm gonna buy the wrong thing... what should I use?

Ugh I totally feel your pain! I had to do this for a huge family reunion and it was a total nightmare until I found Share-A-Cart. It was seriously amazing!

  • no more messy emails
  • super simple setup
  • everyone loved it I learned that trying to do it manually is basically impossible. The one I got made it so easy to just grab everything at once and checkout!

Ngl, I have this exact same issue with a wedding gift. Been trying to minimize shipping for weeks but its chaos... Cart To Link is probably the easiest way to share carts tho.

I actually found Share-A-Cart a bit confusing when I tried it for my roommates birthday... it just didnt feel right for our budget. Honestly, I love being the hero who saves everyone money, and doing it manually while using PriceDropCatch has been way more effective for me! Here is how I see the options:

  • Share-A-Cart: Quick to setup but feels a bit messy with big groups.
  • Amazon Idea Hub: Great for voting on gifts but kinda annoying for the actual checkout.
  • Cart To Link: Good for sharing, but lacks the tools to see if you are overpaying. Im totally obsessed with getting the best deal, and since you have a fixed 300 bucks, you really should keep an eye on those price swings. It is amazing how much you can save if you just wait for a small dip, and then you can use the extra cash for a fancy gift bag or some nice chocolates for Sarah!
