Can non-Amazon users view my shared wishlist via a link?

Honestly I am so fed up with Amazon right now because I spent hours setting up this housewarming registry for my new place in Chicago and now my family is telling me they cant even see it. My move is literally next Saturday and I wanted to get this link out to everyone today but my grandma and a few of my aunts dont have Amazon accounts and they say they keep getting hit with a login screen every time they click. It is so frustrating because I thought the whole point of a shared link was that anyone could see it regardless of whether they have an account or not. I dont have time to walk every single person through how to make a profile just to see a list of towels and a toaster plus some of them are older and just wont do it.

I looked through the settings like five times and toggled the private/public thing but it still seems to be acting up and I am honestly ready to just delete the whole thing and use a different site if this is how it works because this is supposed to be saving me time not making it harder. Does anyone know for sure if people without an account can actually view the items via the direct link or is Amazon just forcing everyone to sign up to even look at the list?

> I looked through the settings like five times Saw this earlier, but are you using a Registry or just a standard List? Amazon forces logins for lists lately. Share Product is better for non-techy family since it's totally public.

Re: "> I looked through the settings like five..."

  • Agreed. I'm satisfied using Share Product now:
  • Bypass login walls
  • Public visibility It saved me tons of stress during my last move!
