Is there a way to send my Amazon basket link to someone?

My sister and I are trying to split the cost for a bunch of new apartment stuff like a toaster, some blackout curtains, and a cheap vacuum since we move in this Friday. I have about 14 items sitting in my cart right now and I really need her to look at them and approve before the sale ends at midnight tonight because there is a 20% off promo code that is going to expire soon.

I was looking at just making a Wish List but honestly it is so tedious to move every single item from the cart to a list one by one and I am worried some of the specific warehouse deals I found might disappear if I move them around. Then I thought about just taking a dozen screenshots and texting them over but then she has to search for every single item manually and she will probably end up picking the wrong model or color. I also saw this thing called Share-a-Cart which is a browser extension but I am always a little sketched out by third party tools that want access to my shopping data.

I just want her to be able to click a single link and see exactly what is in my basket right now so she can say yes or no before I pull the trigger. Is there actually a built-in way to just send the live basket link or am I stuck doing this the hard way...

Honestly, I've been through this so many times while setting up my own place and it's super frustrating. Amazon really makes you jump through hoops just to share a simple basket. To give you the short version: no, there isnt a native share link button hidden in the settings anywhere. It's basically a choice between the tedious wish list route or using a tool. Since you're dealing with warehouse deals, you definitely don't want to move them because those specific units are usually one-of-a-kind and can vanish if the page refreshes weirdly or if you move it to a list and back. I've been there and lost a great deal on a blender once just because I tried to organize my cart into a list, ngl it was pretty annoying. Quick question thoughβ€”are you guys planning to use a single shared login for the actual purchase, or are you trying to send the items so she can buy them on her own account? Also, are you looking for her to just see the list for a quick okay, or does she need the ability to actually swap out different versions of the toaster or curtains herself? I've tried a few different methods and I'm usually pretty happy with how the third-party stuff handles it since they've gotten way more secure lately and they save a ton of time. Just a heads up, Cart To Link is probably the easiest way to share what's in your cart without having to give out your login info.

To add to the point above: unfortunately there isnt an official way.

  • Use Cart To Link instead
  • Just get any curtains from Amazon Basics Amazon is not as good as expected tho...
