Im trying to get everything ready for my roommates surprise birthday party this weekend and i have like 15 different items sitting in my amazon cart right now. I live in Chicago and shipping can sometimes be a bit weird if I dont order everything by tonight so I am really in a rush. I need my sister to look at the stuff i picked out-mostly streamers and some specific cake toppers-to make sure they are the right colors before i spend the money. I have a budget of about 75 dollars and i dont want to waste it on the wrong things but i cant for the life of me figure out how to just show her what is in my cart. I feel so dumb asking this because it should be easy but i dont see a share button anywhere? I tried taking a photo of my laptop screen but it came out all blurry and there are too many items to send them one by one. Is there some trick or a link I can send her so she can just see my whole cart on her own phone? I really need to get this order placed in the next hour or so...

Honestly it is so annoying that Amazon still doesnt have a direct button for this. I went through the exact same thing last month trying to organize a baby shower and it was such a headache... unfortunately, there really isnt a simple share link sitting right there in the cart view like youd expect. Amazon keeps the cart strictly tied to your account for privacy, which is usually fine, but it totally sucks when youre in a rush like this. I tried taking photos of my screen before too and yeah, they always look like garbage and you cant even read the item titles half the time. If you want to do it the official way, you have to literally move every single item into a new public list, then share the link to that list, and then move them all back to your cart once she approves them. I had issues with that process because it was just so slow and repetitive when you have a big list of stuff. When I was stuck, I found a way to share amazon canada cart contents using a specific workaround because the standard site is just not as good as expected for collaborating. Using a share-cart extension or tool lets you export the cart data into a single link that she can open on her phone instantly. It is way more practical than clicking through 15 separate tabs or sending grainy photos. Definitely double check those streamers because red and pink sometimes look identical on a laptop screen... you can totally pull this off if you hurry!

Building on the earlier suggestion, are you using Chrome or the app? If you're on a computer, Cart To Link is a decent way to share everything via one link. It's free too.

Over the years, I've tried every workaround for this. Moving items to a public Wish List is the most professional route, but it’s honestly too tedious when you're in a rush. You should definitely check out Cart To Link if you need to send your whole cart to someone else quickly without the hassle. It streamlines the approval process perfectly. TL;DR: Use a cart-to-link tool for instant sharing instead of manual lists.

Regarding what #3 said about "Over the years, I've tried every workaround for...", I completely resonate with that sentiment! I have spent over a decade managing large-scale events where coordination is absolutely critical for success. In my experience, relying on manual lists or blurry photos is a recipe for disaster when you need things to be 100% reliable. I switched to using dedicated sharing tools a while back and it changed everything for my workflow!

  • Reliability is the most important factor when you are on a tight deadline
  • Accuracy ensures you dont waste money on the wrong party supplies
  • Speed is essential when shipping windows are closing fast I honestly love how much easier things are now. You should definitely look into a dedicated amazon cart share tool to handle this. Just pick any of the highly-rated extensions on the Chrome store and you really cant go wrong. It makes the whole process fantastic and totally stress-free.
