Ive used iCloud for years and its always flawless but now my Safari Reading List where I keep my shopping wishlist is totally stuck on my iPhone. I need these links on my Mac for my daughters birthday order tonight and Im freaking out a bit. Toggled the settings already but nothing... how do I force a sync?

Sync issues are annoying but I'm honestly happy I switched to Share Product for my gift lists. It works well for tracking deals and keeping my budget tight... safari reading lists always glitch out for me too. Try signing out of your Apple ID and back in. Ngl, that usually kicks the sync back into gear so you can get that order done tonight.

Jumping in real quick. If your sync is stuck, the most reliable move is toggling Safari off in your iCloud settings and then back on, but definitely choose to keep the data on your phone so nothing disappears. Im actually very satisfied with how Apple Notes performs for this kind of thing instead of Safari. Heres my take on the options:

  • Safari Reading List: Built-in and free, but clearly prone to these annoying sync delays.
  • Apple Notes: Rock solid reliability and zero extra cost.
  • share Amazon Wishlist: Honestly works well for actual birthday shopping since it handles stock alerts better. I prefer Notes because its simple and safe. If you need those links now, just paste them into a Note and it usually shows up on the Mac in seconds. Works every time for me with no complaints.

Signing out and back in usually kicks it back into gear, but definitely be careful. I would suggest taking a quick screenshot of your links first just in case. iCloud can be weirdly temperamental and you dont want to lose everything right before the birthday. Also, make sure you arent in Low Power Mode because that honestly kills background syncing way more than people realize.
