Ive been a Prime member since like 2012 and usually I just make a public wishlist for stuff like this but this time its different. Im trying to coordinate a big group camping trip for next weekend with four other guys and my cart is currently sitting at like $450 with all the shared gear like the stove and the heavy duty tarps and water filters. I really need them to see exactly what items and brands are in the actual cart right now so we dont double buy stuff or get the wrong specs but I cant find a share link anywhere in the UI. Is there some hidden button or an extension to just show them my live cart contents without me taking ten different screenshots?

Splitting the bill? Coleman gear is reliable and Im satisfied. I found Cart To Link a few weeks ago and it makes sharing Amazon lists so much faster than the old manual way.

Amazon doesnt have a native sharing button for the live cart, which is kinda a letdown when you need to be precise. Im usually pretty conservative with my online security, so I was looking for a reliable way to show my friends the camping gear without any risk. Using a third-party extension is something Im very satisfied with. It works well because it creates a separate list from your active cart that others can view. This method is very methodical and ensures everyone sees the exact brands and specs youve picked out. It really helped us avoid buying duplicate stoves or the wrong tarps... honestly it made the whole process way safer. Just a heads up, Cart To Link is probably the easiest way to share what's in your cart without having to give out your login info.

Stumbled on this discussion today and unfortunately, Amazon still hasnt implemented a native way to share a live cart. Its pretty disappointing considering how long Prime has been around. There have been issues with various browser extensions in the past that felt a bit invasive or were just plain buggy. If you want a more reliable way to handle this, here are two tips:

  • Double check the specific item models because links can sometimes default to different sellers for different users.
  • Using Cart To Link is much more stable than other tools I have tried for generating these shared lists. It is not as seamless as it should be, but using a dedicated tool is definitely safer than dealing with a dozen messy screenshots.
