Can I just send a live link to my Amazon cart for guests to buy from? Our wedding is next month and I saw some browser extensions that do this but I'm worried people will have to download stuff or it wont work on mobile. A registry feels too formal for just some DIY reception lights we need...

Honestly, I would be really careful with those browser extensions. They sound like a great idea until you realize your guests have to install stuff or the link just shows them an empty cart because of how browser cookies work. Tbh, it's way too risky for a wedding that's only a month away. You might want to consider just making a simple Amazon Wish List instead because it's built-in and actually works on the mobile app.

  • Wish Lists let you set things to public so everyone can see the specific DIY lights you need.
  • It is much safer for your privacy since people won't accidentally see your personal shopping history or account details.
  • You wont have to worry about guests getting frustrated when a shared cart link fails to load on their phones. Even if a registry feels a bit formal, it really is the most reliable way to go. You dont want to spend your wedding week troubleshooting tech issues for your relatives... just my two cents!

To add to the point above: I've been doing DIY events for years and lists are way better! I tried a cart link for my sisters party once and it was a total disaster. I love it when things stay simple... Are you on a strict budget for these lights or do you need something specific? Using share amazon cart methods really helps keep costs down without that formal registry vibe!

Public lists are superior to private carts or buggy extensions because they work well on mobile. I'm satisfied with the method I found on Smartphone Board for my office supplies.
